Palm reader jailed for life for catwoman murder
A Brisbane Supreme Court jury has found a palm reader GUILTY of the murder of the high
profile leader of the Cat Society of Queensland.
Fifty-year-old ANDREW RICHARD FITZHERBERT, of Zillmere, on Brisbane's northside, pleaded
NOT GUILTY to murdering KATHLEEN MARSHALL between February 25 and March 2 last year.
Ms MARSHALL was a 52-year-old veterinarian and the director of the Cat Protection Society
of Queensland.
Her bloodied body, with up to 50 stab wounds, was found in the surgery at her home at
Windsor in Brisbane's inner north.
Justice KEN MACKENZIE has sentenced FITZHERBERT to life in jail.
He says FITZHERBERT would not have been caught but for the explosion in DNA technology
which proved his blood was left at the scene.
