NSW: Jump the counter gang target NAB

SYDNEY, Feb 4 AAP - A gang of counter jumpers may be behind up to seven National Australia
Bank robberies in Sydney, including one said to have netted $500,000.

While police concede the heists highlight concerns over staff safety, the Financial
Services Union (SFU) has slammed NAB for failing to install security shutters in all branches.

The so-called "hip hop" bandits have made light work of one of the oldest crimes in the
book by hurling themselves over service counters and menacing terrified workers.
