Fed: High petrol prices hitting kidney patients, peak body

Soaring petrol prices are hurting kidney patients in country and regional areas ..

who have to travel hundreds of kilometres for dialysis treatment.

Kidney Health Australia chief executive ANNE WILSON says the federal government may
have to consider tax rebates to help dialysis patients.

She says many need treatment up to three times a week .. and for them it's a matter
of life or death.
