FED: Aust tourists tell of another attack on Greek island

Two Australian brothers say they were savagely attacked on the Greek island of Mykonos
in almost identical fashion to the fatal bashing of Sydney backpacker DOUJON ZAMMIT.

DAN and BRAD HECKENDORF .. from Cronulla but now living in London .. have told Fairfax
newspapers how they were attacked on their first night on the island.

They say taxi driver called at least 15 Greeks with baseball bats .. batons and chains
after an argument about getting change from a trip.

The men demanded their wallets ..with BRAD able to run for help .. but 30 year-old
DAN was punched .. kicked and belted with the weapons for about 10 minutes in the attack
in July last year.

Meanwhile .. a 25-year-old nightclub bouncer has been remanded in custody by a Greek
court over MR ZAMMIT'S death following the confrontation on Mykonos.

News limited says the bouncer admitted in court he hit Mr ZAMMIT .. but claims he didn't
intend to kill him.

Friends and family will gather in Sydney tonight at a memorial service for the 20-year-old
.. with hundreds expected to meet at Cecil Hills Lake .. where Mr ZAMMIT played as a child
.. to light candles for him.
